How to Turn Off Voice Control on Your iPhone

Voice Control on your iPhone tries to be helpful, letting you place calls or play music just by saying what you want. However, not everyone agrees or finds it useful. While Apple makes no provision for actually disabling voice control, there are ways around that. This article will show you how.

NOTE* This is ONLY for "Voice Dialing". When you switch it is says "voice command for music is always active"

Open Settings. Tap the Settings icon on your home screen.

Tap on General. This opens the General control panel.

Tap "Passcode Lock." Then tap "Turn Passcode On."

Enter your passcode. Enter 4 numbers that will be easy to remember, but hard to guess.

Turn Voice Dial off. After you've enabled your passcode, tap the Voice Dial toggle to flip it from On to Off. While you cannot totally disable Voice Control, this will at least disable it when your screen is locked.
