Past your blog link in Google webmaster tool it is immediately indexed. There is no need to wait.

To increasing Google index you need to comment on High page ranking site as I mentioned above. Comment on related Post on other sites, blogs and forums.

Use social network sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other. There you can generate a hug traffic for your new blog. Share your site/blog link in social exchanger sites like ADD ME FAST ets. where you can get 500+ traffic minimum
